It's simple: when repairing a certain item (like small gun, armor, etc.) and your profession is making those items, your chance to repair them is increased depending on what level your profession is.
Example: your repairing your armor, and your armorer profession is level 2 and your repair skill is 130%. So when fixing armor your chance to fix it is increased. therefor, it would be the equivilent of fixing the armor with a repair skill of say 150% or more/less.
Well, thats about it.

soo. add 10% for every level of your profession ?

I was thinking level 1 gets 15%, level 2 20%, level 3 35%. Or something like that. But it's not all added on, so you dont get like +70%, but maybe people would want that.

then you would need to add fa for doctor protfession energy weapons for ew crafter etc. sounds like shit :> You get ability to craft items for buying profession

Yeah, but this way people would get more out of it. Also, it sounds like you misinterpreted the suggestion.

profession adds a simple bonus to what its related to, makes sense. sounds easy to implement.
does it screw with balance. and or make certain professions overpowered is the question.

Unless you lower the normal chance of repairing stuff with a high repair skill, adding this can only make things easier. but i doubt it'd cause a problem, it just means your crafting alt also is now a repair alt.
