Simply because someone somwhere is gonna get the bright idea of making a faction name with this following phrase:  "Noob pwners"

And? Our world will be destoyed? Your PC will burn when you'll see thier faction name? Who cares what's the name of thier faction. If they won't TC, you'll never see thier name anyway. Personally I think players can't name thier faction, because devs don't know how to implement this yet and they aren't going in that direction.

i don't see any reason (besides the coding) not to implement such feature

If you afraid of "n00b PwNz0rZ" faction or something, then the names could be pre-moderated. I see no problem with it, coz we have Game Masters for such things.

I was actually thinking something like what Graf said could work, or if its not "pre" moderated if the name is insanely retarded or overtly racist it could be disbanded by a gm (probably 2-3 gm's agreeing that it should be first)
