Title: Flare as distress signal for everyone

Here is the idea: make flare craftables, and when used, make your location visible on World Map for everyone, at something like 3 square radius. For help, gathering or for trap, I think it would be good.

I like as well, would at make useful rather than... well, whatever it's supposed to be right now.

You also can throw them into enemy to deal atleast 5 damage with living anatomy for 0 AP, so you'll have 30 seconds of your turn in TB to throw very many flares, I don't know throwing speed animation, but I think in 30 seconds you'll throw like 25-30 flares, it's equal to 25x5=125 damage.. damn, not much, hmm, then make an army of BRoF fast shoters in TB, who will farm enclave patrols with flares! Because right now, the only way obtaining flares is Rail Line gang quest, but it's annoying to make 100 alts to get 100 flares.
Still it's fun to make an army of flare-throwers and troll somewhere. If only we had more than 30 seconds turns...

It was suggested already a long time ago. We haven't done it, because the abuse-factor is too high.

Damn me, I was not sure and didn't found it with search. I guess you can junklock...
Well, with forced RT, I think it could work (spawn location in random encounters are spread enough to avoid too much grid camping I think)

Flares will become really useful again, when day and night time / light level of a tile has impact on to-hit chance again. Especially fighting in the night will be a lot different than on day.

Woooh great stuff. Takes me back to my old days in jagged alliance 2 doin night assaults and throwing glowsticks at enemys so they are visible from a mile away :)

Have Feral Child encounters where gangs of kids attack with flares and molotovs.

Also- Rave Parties should have flares.
