As said, please disable double-click walking if autorun is enabled.
Because of a habit to click twice for so long...
Keep shift+click walking.
-
well, get used to simple click

nah, I'm get used to double click to run too. So, +1 to Doctor Eex
p.s. all my teammates agree to that as well.
-
Agree, I've made mistake too often. Also, when you mistake from one hex, and click just after on the real hexe you want to go, your char will walk...
-
Same problem.
-
omg, just practice, is jost somethign you will get used to

Walking because clicking on another hex is annoying, why should we "get used" to an annoying thing when it could just be corrected?
Well, I guess you were also saying that we should "get used" to always have shift pushed on...
-
Lagmaster yes you can but if it can be better why not? Run - even if 2 clicks , walking - only with shift.

Go flood somewhere else.
I think most of PVP players will support this very simple suggestion
-
Been thinking about this problem since I was on new TLA, now it works like reverse walking. Would be good if you couldnt walk unless you hold shift, but Im afraid its not 2238-specific problem, so we would need to wait for Cvet.

Appreciate developers comments here.

Completely agree with Doctor eax. In RT combats run on double click is very useful.
( Of course people can get accustomed to all interfaces but we talk about the most comfortable system. Steps not using a lot, so "shift" is enough for it.)
-
allright, you convinced me, so eliminate the duble click run
-
All my fingers for this suggestion! Double-click walking is realy annoying. Remove it, but keep shift-click walking, as said by topic-starter.
-
i agree to this, my finger itch to click twice even if autorun is on.
-
Lets burn the double-click walking.
-
You also double click if your character is lagging. to get him to run.
And i'm more of a troll than a PvPer. and i still want this.

Lol.
1 Open "fonline.cfg" (in game root folder)
2 find "DoubleClickTime=200" string
3 Change it to "DoubleClickTime=1" (no quotes ofc, it should be changed to 1 and NOT 0)
4 Save the file
6 ???????
7 PROFIT! (dblclick = still running, shift-click = walking)
All Heil to me.
Close the thread.
P.S.: U'd better turn off the game client=>make changes in cfg file=>run game client again

Doesn't work to me. Still double click = walking, single click = running ::)

It's pretty strange, probably you're doing smth wrong. This should work (theoretically) if there is no in-game minimum limit.
Will check this out later (not at home now).
P.S.(to devs i think): If there is an in-game minimum limit, it must be removed.

As for me, this parameter doesn't work at all. I've tried to set it to 20000, to 1 and others between them. No difference at all. So, it probably should be fixed by devs anyway.

Yup, doesn't work... Need to be fixed.

the problem is not double clicking on same hex
It's if you click on 1 hex and then want to change and do that fast, it walks

Reviving this topic. The problem has not been solved.

It works, but the line must not be Under the [Updater] section but under [Game Options].
So just to be sure put the "DoubleClickTime=1" line right under the [Game Options]
example:
[Game Options]
DoubleClickTime=1
WindowName = Abooze
Language = engl
