When will end of beta? 2 years? 5 years? 10 years? How about future FOnline?
-
An unofficial point of view: At this rate never. Too many players are clearly not participating in testing, reporting and discussing.
-
Beta will end soon (http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Soon) as always.
Future of FOnline? That's something which we will see later, not now.
Stop asking these questions, they will only lead to answers like "Soon" and "No Idea (http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/No_Idea)"

I'm not asking but I want make discussion abouut future. How long this project alive? 5 years? 10? What do you think? Can we bring to game young players? What about graphics?
-
Please, do not introduce more young player in the game ;).

Approx january 2009, which makes it two years now.
The amount of work we have done in this short time period is really great. Remember, other fan made projects for other games are in development for 5+ years and don't feature as much as FOnline: 2238 (or they get canned somewhere in between and are never finished). Especially because we never have been more active people than max ~5.

Oh you wan't opinions! The longevity of this projectl depends on us, the community. How supporting and well behaving we are because it reflects to the devs. In addition the more reports, the faster things get to the dev's ears. Imagine if everyone just plays and never reports any issues until they are found by accident. Then again I recall one dev saying they will develop this game even with 0 population (prolly Lexx) but seriously, they are people too.
What comes to young people, they aren't as bad threat as conservative and narrow-minded people of any age.

Do you want play FOnline: 2238 in 2021?

Do you want play FOnline: 2238 in 2021?
I'd probably would if I had some time.
-
FOnline isn't pay-to-play MMOcRPG game developed in studio. Most (if not all) of devs have thier own lifes, work or studies, so as they wrote in devlog, they works on FO:2238 in thier own free time. FO is indie game, remember that.

Do you want play FOnline: 2238 in 2238? ;D Imagine, everyone have spaceships to travel to a next solar system for a weekend and a group of oldfags are still playing Fallout :D If I even had a chance to see it... :(

What about Interplay's MMO?

How could I forget that if it's repeated approximately 10 times a day on these forums?
-
Hmm.. i really don't know what going happen to FOnline 2238.
2238 devs don't own FOnline 2238 ingame graphics or almost nothing more than code (I think)
If we could get own graphics "someday" maybe this game got future, but in other ways... we just wait this game destruction.
-
lol. Seriously. lol. Quote of the week? Probably quote of the month.

What about Interplay's MMO?
Players that like WoW like clone with Fallout universe based graphics will play that for sure, but i will stay as original.
forever no one dunno it
-
For me it can be beta forever. :P
We got cool game. When we find bug we can quick report it, and it will be fixed in next update. We got updates(from time to time) where devs change something in game. I prefer changes more than "never changes" in normal versions of games ;)

This is by far the most well done nonprofit mmo's I've ever seen. I'm hooked. Thanks for bringing me back to a cold ruthless wasteland!
-
"Beta" is just a word.

Beta forever!!! :P
