Title: More XP on humans
Post by: LagMaster on January 09, 2011, 01:29:46 pm
for now the animals have more XP if you kill them, but the humans have less XP

why don't you make them more experiencefull?

because humans drop loot with which (in most cases) you can buy more ammo than u sepent killing him, but very few species of animals give anything except xp.

Enclave soldiers have like 600+ hp and give 550 exp. not even 1exp/hp. So yeah, SOME human npcs need to give more exp i think.

And floaters have about 270-350 HP and you get 1000 exp.

Even rats give 25exp each...
And raveparty members gives 40exp... and they are humans :/
Little changes needed for this.

Funny that floater is not much more dangerous than 2 marauders, yet single centaur is worth like 4 time more xp than those 2 marauders.

Floaters don't drop any good loot. It's pure exp, and no items to sell and recieve spent bullets back.

EXP=HP system!!

But like what sander said, it should be a system based on more than just HP. Based on loot, damage resistance, HP, weapon damage, weaopn value... etc.

I'm all for tweaking xp values a bit, but it needs to be done right.

killing humans is more dangerous and more fun than exping on dumb centaurs. I am for.

Kill mercenaries or press gang near sf - it "is more dangerous and more fun than exping on dumb centaurs" + for some builds it's a lot faster (1-3 mins in TBC to kill a pack of 3 of them)

It sucks.

40hp molerat = 120xp
51hp mutated pigrat = 90xp?

it would be honour for everyone - the faithful players, the lazy developers, the corrupted game masters, the bizzare community - to confirm how rock-solid FOnline: 2238 is.

i do not think it will be, but the XP sistem needs to be redone

What's wrong with exping anyway? So what if the exp sources aren't in complete harmony along with the challenge level. Levelling is just a brief period during your gameplay, you may exp from 2 days to 3 weeks but eventually you will hit lvl 21 and after that xp is pointless.

but still, we need a better XP sistem, centaurs with 300 HP give 1000 XP and Enclave solders with PA mrk 2 AND 600+ HP give only 550Xp, not fair in my opinion

Enclave patrols drop many tasty things instead of exp.
Btw do any Enclave soldiers wield gauss pistols nowadays? They used to do it before last wipe.

They does not.

By tasty things you mean minigun/rocket launcher and 100-400mm ap ammo/5-10 rockets (which can be much easier stolen?) It's easier to hunt mutants this way.

Enclave drop plasma pistol, avenger, and laser gatling (well and radio/combat knives). Not really worth the deal.
Btw Enclave don't drop any Gauss pistol, and they never did in something like 5 previous session.

There will eventually be an XP formula that takes into account several factors and will result in more appropriate XP rewards.
