Post by: skejwen on December 28, 2010, 12:49:30 am
In January Im planning to start some smal RP project with small group of participants. So I need voulunteers for this group, three of four people. There is deal:

Write short story in English - 100 words, no less no more - and send me it as pm (remember to name topi of pm as "RP application"). I'll check it at 9th of January and will send ivites to ones that that would take part in it.

You should clarify what this projects background/story is about, to get more people interested.

There is not any background yet.
Since I'll try to run it like classic rpg sessions the story will develop while playing.
All I need is few devoted particitants to play their roles.

And about entry story: it can be about anything related to fallout universe.

I received only TWO messages from which NONE meet requirements. That makes me sad... I lost rest of my faith in this community.

So nothing more left but to throw this idea to abyss off no-happening. D O H.

If it is true that the fonline community is not of hard core roleplayer, it is true too that your announcement was lacking in some fundamental info

the hour of the day (and the day/s of the week) when the experiment would be activated

the level of the chars (you accept only 1 lv or you accept only char with level 12 + )

A base idea for fuel the people fantasy (you are a group of slavers struggling for the Metzeger approval, you are a group of vault city citizien exilied by Lynette, you are a group financed by cattle baron of ncr plotting for owerthrow Tandi )

TBH I've seen it go both ways, on certain Gmod rp servers the admin play active roles in events they create or made by players. This usually means a reward for the mingers or people who with a "gotta get teh gunz n lods emone" mentality which is kind of sad. On the other hand, free role play totally unmoderated but reasonable within itself sounds sweet. There are some gmod rp servers with no GM intervention at all so player A can RPly rob player B and he would have to RP it. Of course such a level of freedom is often abused and the mingers "lolshoot" or "s2k" everything on sight disregarding roleplaying and call it being a bandit/rougue instead of respectively Counter Strike.

So Kanly's tune is sounding good, some more info would be nice...!
