Perhaps inside the pipboy ?
Allows you to keep an ammendable list of names inside, one for friends and one for enemies.
Perhaps allow this info to be stored on a "holodisk" so it can be imported by clan members.

Good idea.
Green/red tagged player list could appear into some pipboy screen, so you could see an overview of them, make changes (untagging) while not being near that person and so on. Also, you could add new names there witouth being close tho the person. For roleplayers: that clearly makes sense - some guy just telling another dude that he should be aware of third fella.
I mean, why not?

Yup.
This suggestion got my voice :)

This idea makes perfect sense, but wasn't there name colorization file..?
Oh wait, duh.
-
the old NC didn't make sense, this NC makes perfect sense and should be implemented.
Full support.

That would be exactly like name colorizing, except it will be annoying like hell to do... Can't we just have old NC back?
-
Most of us (clan members) already keep unified lists of friendlies and enemies outside the game, so this would be nice to have, especially if the holodisk export/import is implemented, althought that can come at a later stage of course.
Mind you, I never said player name input should be the ONLY way to tag, but it sure comes in handy at times, especially if you want to change the status of someone or a group and the only time you will be meeting them next is at a battle, at which (and other) point(s), the current system fails.
Perhaps the pipboy module can be appropriately named "FOF (FriendorFoe) module.

What's the difference between in-game holodisk and out-game text file? What prevents people from sharing holodisks/text files?
We have a feature for that already, it's called NameColorizing.txt. It was disabled for some strange reason, and now you guys want to invent wheel again.

NC is immoral, we have to create some new mechanism, call it different name that would do the same purpose. But pssst, Izual have to not know this. :)

NotNamecolourizingAtAll.txt
I just took at a NC file and I can imagine why you'd say that.
I don't think the average player would want to fiddle around editing config files to get some basic functionality.
-
Great, idea, it should be implemented, its big advantage for groups.
But what's wrong with NC? ???

This system can be implemented in much simpler terms out of game. Friends.txt and Enemies.txt, in them, names are seperated by ; or , or any other delimiter of choice. People with big lists on forums will find it easy to edit those files and just add the names to them.
By the way, this system doesnt have to be a NC replacement. I see no reason why they can't co-exist together, however, I see this being way more gamer friendly.

Same for all game options...
> I bet you need a restart of client for any changes to take effect ?
No, there is a command ro refresh it.
Also, I don't have problem for being able to add names trough pip boy, as long you can still do it by editing a file.

This has been here long enough,
Can I/we get some official input please ?
Much appreciated.

Adding something like /good <nickname> or /green <nickname> ingame commands would be great. (Also /follow /leader /disbandplayer etc.)
