Hi!
I'd like to show you a couple of drawings/paintings I have done.
Say what you say, but when you can pull it of its the most satisfying moment in fonline.
And I am talking about teaching good ol fashioned fear of god to gun wielding nerds.
The adrenaline pumps through your veins when you are running towards a gun man biting your teeth and sucking bullets like a sponge... you get closer and closer... you can only hope you wont get knocked to the floor before you get there... the pistol boy is reloading and already celebrating his sure to come noob ownage victory...
But in a blink of an eye you are in front of his shockened eyes and BADAM! All the frustration erupts in one quick moment. You are psyched. Haymaker lands on his face and you hear that beautiful sound when he falls to the ground like a wet noodle... tables have turned Pistol Pete...
That's how a PA should look like! Do you plan to add a background to the drawing too?
Pugilism illustrated Yeah! :D
Err... but that armor looks like female one to me :P. It does not compute with manly face of character.
PA looks heavy and massive but middle of it bothers me a little. Stomach gives me a feeling that it's unprotected or something.
But those are just little not important at all comments made by green in art kiddo. The one thing I wanted to say is... Wow... great work :D I feel jealous now :>

I aimed for a very gritty and dark feel in this power armor design. Just like I saw it in the original fallouts. I didnt like the "realistic" and puny power armors in fallout 3. For me power armor is freaking big, bulky and menacing...

Real nice art but one thing that bothers me in the first PA image is how the armor plating looks so ... clunky? It looks almost like a suit of platemail, I don't know how he'd manage to move around in it with it so 'solid' looking. Still damn good art, especially the first one (as I am at this minute on my own HtH char, which was rather nice timing-wise... BG still owns me but oh well).
next is Lether Jacket?
Wow. APA. I could kiss you for that.
Yeah you are right about that. In Fallout 3 they made PA more realistic in that apartment, but it lost everything else along the way... I just wanted to do PA that looks cool and as close as possible to the original fallouts, without overthinking how it could actually work. You know artistic freedom and such :)I think the problem is it does miss some details (you can see for example there's some supporting stuff on legs, this is barely visible in game sprite, but in intro cinematics it's apparent: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110125062642/fallout/images/d/d8/Fo1_Intro_Canadian_Freedom_Fighter.png) and it definetly looked a bit more lean.
The Yakuza don't look so well, but the other image is awesome!agreed.
agreed.I believe it's the shading on their clothes.
agreed.Quite contrary, I think it's fantastic picture. Feels like japanese paintings.

Its a good picture but something seems missing in it to me, doesnt seem quite finished.I think its a great picture but maybe it needs to have a rising sun in background.
It's not necessarily explosion but smoke and bright light in the background. As far i know, smoke and bright light is the usual result of an explosion. I might be wrong, but usually it goes that way.
