First post, so hello to everyone
I'm new to this game, and the first time I was playing I was in Vault City, I was shovelling shit as you do.
And then out of no where a ghoul sprinted up to me, and shot me dead. The ghoul didn't have a player name above it. So what was that all about?

Maybe you accidently stabbed the cow? You know you can set the shovel on attack / use maybe it was on attack and you hit the cow :P

You were probably standing in the doorway for too long time.

If ghoul died later then another solutions is, that it was suicidal slave.

I would assume it was a ghoul slave or merc considering he was in VC, not many ghouls there (Yay Ghoulism) ;D

Hmm, Well I hope that ghoul did die. Got what was coming to him! ha ha.

dont shovel shit... thats the most boring and slowest way to get caps in the game. Go 1 square below military camp, by NCR, and loot masters army vs ncr army battles. Get about 5k worth of loot per battle.

im sure hes not that strong, but your right about the shoveling part
you just need a tent and then go level your build, after that make friends with players, once you got a solid group you will became rich
