Title: Subcontractors!

I want my mercs to have mercs.

Maybe in some cases the merc could dissappear and be replaced by a subcontractor, or a Merc just might want to have his own bodyguards.

I suppose there could be some recursion issues.

Lol but you wouldnt be able to lead all of them.  You'd need to take several trips to bring em all lol.

Or maybe your merc's merc's mercs could have mercs too, and what about your merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's merc's mercs???

Thats why you don't turn based with mercs. besides it would give me a laugh to have 20-30 mercs running around klamath hunting people.

But imagine when you take them to some random encounter. Then one instakill on you and your whole army is gone. ;D :'(

Maximum what I see possible is merc with a respawning dog.

Respawning dog actually sounds interesting especially if it added certain stats to the merc (not the player who owns the merc) like a melee merc would get increased DT or something (to simulate a dog interupting an attack or maybe higher AC on them) Sniper ew and sg mercs could get +1 or +2 to perception, and bg mercs would get...uhh yea ill have to think on that and edit this post.

Also said dogs would need a respawn timer of awhile or you have to buy them back for a set price.

Brahmin with avenger ;D (already mentioned in topic about rat with powerfist)

About those bonuses I only though that it will spawn random friendly dog per lets say trapper-merc you have (A.I. set to don't attack anyone unless you get hit) when you enter an encouter and when you leave encounter the dog would be removed (or stay on that map?). Dogs are usually one shot one kill so they don't seem to be overpowered.

But hey this idea seems to be weird from the very beginning.

Yeah! I want to ride on brahmin with two mounted awangers and rocket launchers with skulls of my enemies impaled on brahmins horns!
