Ok, my idea is, super sledges could be a bit more useful or Mining!
Pro(s): While using a sledgehammer, each time you mine something it yields twice the resource.
OR: it could make each time you mine divide the cooldown in half. (This way it takes longer to get your extra resources which timing is crucial).
Con(s): your risking 3k caps just to get a couple extra ores... pks will be more likely to raid mines for the super sedgehammers alone.

Nah, I think there should be pickaxe instead of hammer for mining... it would be more logical, just like a hatchet is a tool for wood, there would be a pickaxe for rocks. Hammers just as a melee weapons.

Don't know about you but i throw my supersledges at people, but you do make a decent point since getting ore from hammering away at something doesn't really make that much sense

If you click the description on those 100 hp mutants by the bh mine... they aparently get to have invisible pickaxes and we dooontt!! :'(
Besides, reason being is that we dont have a pickaxe picture/animation(if it'll be unique) so why not super sledge upgrade?
Unless you mean pickaxe as the only mining tool... Which would be just as boring and same use of an update to the changelog as it is already. Question being: Why should they make a new item if we already have a decently uncomplained item for it?

Yes, I mean using pickaxe as the only tool for mining (besides primitive tool). Then sledge could be a bit better and harder to craft. I just think it's more logical.

When using Supersledge on minerals it should give you gunpowder straight away!!!!
