Hi everyone, I heard about this game and was like, I instantly gotta try this out, but i cant get the client to work, i have had it running ONCE
The one time it worked i was able to create a character but not log in.
Anyway now i cant start the game at all. Tried reinstalling both Fallout 2 and the Fonline client several gazillion times.,
Heres my FOnline log. i searched for the line where it fails but it turned up only one result on the russian forums for this game, and its hard to understand with googles translationis lol.
Anyway heres the .log

So any ideas anyone?? This OldDefault.bmp seems to be the problem, Please help me out, i wanna get into the wasteland!!!!!

IMPORTANT:
Run the updater to receive new files and delete the file named 94.23.237.127.2238.cache in the data folder.
In the FOnline.cfg file, find the line "PatchDatPath=fonline.dat" and change it to "PatchDatPath=faction.zip".
DAT files entered deprecation stage, whenever a .zip file with the same name is downloaded, the corresponding .dat can be deleted. In addition, fonline.dat is deprecated.
Have you done what thats said?

Hey yeah i messed about some more in the .cfg and tried the changing it to factions, totally working now, sadly, i made my character 54 years old by mistake, any way to delete chars??? Thanks

~deleteself password, but age doesn't change anything in the game so you shouldn't be worried about it.

hmm, the same proble happend to me and its still happening. i did all the things the info told me but when i tried to go in the cfg file to change the DAT to ZIP it wouldnt let me go on to the file to change it. anyone know why?

Open it with notepad or any other word maccchiiineee!
