FIXES:
- Caravan price display.
- Unarmed attacks names.
- Arena (has been fixed since some time without announcement).
- ~disbandparty fix.
- Fix for permanent night on some maps.
- Jumping robobrain fix.
- All clients are saved properly on shutdown.
- Nasty TC exploit.
- Farmers/fishers encounters are no longer automatically hostile.
- Various dialog fixes, mostly spelling/formatting.

FEATURES:
- Sound added when drinking nuka cola.
- Talk to Henry in NCR for some useful information.
- Teams in arena fight are now colourized (own team is green, the enemy is red).
- Reworked radios - ability to enable/disable and set modes of reception and broadcast, radio put on the ground produce map message. Use hand/science on radio to manipulate it.

CHANGES (WIP):
- Big engine overhaul (support for multithreading).
- Cattleprod only requires 3 AP
- Tommy Gun burst is 15 bullets, magazine holds 75
- Grease Gun burst is 15 bullets, magazine holds 60
- Hub Oldtown guards have reinforcements.

IMPORTANT:
Run the updater to receive new files and delete the file named 94.23.237.127.2238.cache in the data folder.
In the FOnline.cfg file, find the line "PatchDatPath=fonline.dat" and change it to "PatchDatPath=faction.zip".
DAT files entered deprecation stage, whenever a .zip file with the same name is downloaded, the corresponding .dat can be deleted. In addition, fonline.dat is deprecated.

Right-click FOnline.cfg, set it to open with Notepad (or "WordPad" or any text document program you have) . Then find the text and change it.

I haven't tested it, but, if that's the case... good, it makes people who use the in-game chat system at less of a disadvantage.

Yeah, these lazy asses don't care about lives of others, I just burst one guy and ran away to exit grid while they crawled to me. Also guard near north tent is removed... making north of NCR well.. less defended.

Also when your slave/merc attacks someone, his master becoming a target of guards, but still protected, and may run away to exit grid, so he and his follower will disappear. I think master of merc should become unprotected atleast. So he can be stopped next time. Or.. just learn these damned guards how to run and shoot at long distance, because they act like ghouls. Also buff thier damage, they are weak blind snipers who shooting torso or non-critically shooting other parts of body like amrs making one to burst 2 people, then run to 3rd, burst him, then rotate on his body shouting something crazy, then say that he has no more ammo in smg, then run few rounds, then drop his smg, walk to Sha Enin and talk to him and then die.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to COMMUTE CHANNEL of RADIO, a transmission goes on all channels of radio
after updating left off to work Bonus Rate of Faire.

You've entered PatchDatPath=fonline.zip it should be PatchDatPath=faction.zip

You know what, I'm gonna start up a character again, been away from FOnline recently due to my old MMO flame coming back with interesting stuff (Guild Wars) as well as some of the new game releases (SW:TFU2, FO:NV, and a few others), but like the obedient bitch I am theres always a place in my heart for FOnline. (And because of a few real-life issues, but you guys wouldn't be interested in that)

It's 5 sections of text (I guess we could call them paragraphs) from the bottom, if that helps.

And looks like i'm only who got this working :D
Firstly i updated game -> then deleted cache file -> then edit cfg file.
And it working without errors.

Curious, I just helped someone who have a problem and couldn't launch the game, he did the text changing 5 minutes ago and it works...

Heckler, check what you've wrote in the Fonline.cfg (mistakes happen often ^^), make sure you don't have another .cache file (except Default.cache) again, and report ^^

So tonight I hopped online and wanted to play some FO, I load it all up and then at the login screen I'm told my client is out of date. I dig through the forum (which needs a search function) about updating my client. I update the .cfg file I do exactly as this says...

You done something wrong in editing that .cfg file or you don't even edited it.

Find fonline.dat and edit this: PatchDatPath=fonline.dat to PatchDatPath=faction.zip

BTW: maybe devs should send that edited .cfg file in updater.

You'll need to close the client first, then update again :) You can't overwrite a new file when you're using it.

ok i got it all working now

i followed the instructions to the latter and deleted faction.dat and faction006.dat (because the update included faction.zip and faction006.zip) but the game wouldn't work

it seems i needed to add these files back in-order for it to work

Same applys for the Launcher if youre updating via the Launcher and encounter the same Error. (Not this time as there is no Launcher Update, but for future times)

Does that mean that when I put radio on the ground it will not require sending signal like before? (or is it even working now?)
And also will my tent or base be visible by droping radio?

It means that now you can hear hostile and racistic speech 24/7 in NCR, because radios laying everywhere including exit grid.

Paste the contents of the FOnline.log


You done something wrong in editing that .cfg file or you don't even edited it.

Find fonline.dat and edit this: PatchDatPath=fonline.dat to PatchDatPath=faction.zip

BTW: maybe devs should send that edited .cfg file in updater.
That would overwrite all users settings every time they'd run the updater.


A general note: It's faction.zip, not fonline.zip, that you need to replace fonline.dat with, in the cfg file.

It means You can't make red dot on world map without having radio in Your hand.

Distress call is a /h "Your message" which creates red dot visible for everybody with same radio channel as yours.

The arena colorizing gets reset to the player's custom colorizing once the character exits your field of view.

Well good news and bad news about fixing the problem before hand that I mentioned.
Run the updater to receive new files which worked perfectly, yet I still don't have the deleted file named 94.23.237.127.2238.cache in the data folder.

Now I have a new one.. I get the splash screen, yay!

Then after that, I get a black screen, with just the arrow on it...
Nothing else, I press enter am able to login yet in the upper left hand corner I see one of the cities I have discovered names and nothing else. Any thoughts?

stop offtopic, if you really want to talk about cheats - make another topic and stop pretending you are not using anycheats, sad truth is - every gang is using autoaims, no exeptions.. but only your gangs are doing triplelog on pvp characters to win a battle - this is really low.

stop offtopic, if you really want to talk about cheats - make another topic and stop pretending you are not using anycheats, sad truth is - every gang is using autoaims, no exeptions.. but only your gangs are doing triplelog on pvp characters to win a battle - this is really low.

Using auto-aims is so lame... Every gang use interfaces, but I heard that your alliance is egocentric and think that they are only true gangs in wasteland so it explain why you talking "every gang" ;) Make sure that I next time will record you after fail in some cities when on respawn is xxx your characters and every one don't respond on talk and pushing ;)



Floodnik: FOCD work I tried this, work normally - autoaim like mushrooms says, junkie and cooldowns... Now I tried it again after update and it seems that game don't want to start with it ;) Good job developers ;D

yea I'm the one who is testing everything and everywhere what I have onto my Virtualbox (I saw that even on russian forum somebody post link with some viruses to FOCD 1.15d or even e ;p)

Be like me and use only classic interface in your mega quake pvp.


Uff, I can only say this about update - it was bad idea with radios - now we got much racist, spammers and nubz often lagging the game with putting 1000x of radios in one place....
The good one was with repairing old bugs.
I see only one difference - I got more problems with game on Windows 7 (The game works good but the textures looks worse than on my main PC)
And i don't have problems with the Windows XP - while playing it.

Uff, I can only say this about update - it was bad idea with radios - now we got much racist, spammers and nubz often lagging the game with putting 1000x of radios in one place....

Hey there is a good side of this, you can pick up the racist radios and sell them for 300 caps / piece.
And I don't think it's 1000x....

When canal 0 will be muted definitively (Radio not actived => Power Off) many of these problem will be fixed. Still same numerous racist/spammers/nubz/.. but somewhere else .. somewhere we don't hear them.

0 channel is not an issue. It become global channel on which you can trade and call people out. It just needs anti-spam protection.

Sure, rage more ;) not every character [my Otworzpuszka was banned even that I dont played on him by month (on Otworzpuszka I didn't played because just it was to hard to exp it) on Otworzpuszke I didn't got ban but I on him played with FOCD on jan0s1k I got ban and Thecakeislie (not exactly it was my character but I got banned on him) and 3 more characters wasn't banned so I dont know what are you talking about] I just show that people from russians factions still use it etc etc, stop your rage and try to ban me moar on IRC ;)

It means You can't make red dot on world map without having radio in Your hand.

Distress call is a /h "Your message" which creates red dot visible for everybody with same radio channel as yours.


This needs to be flashed now and then in-game as one of those global GM messages, to avoid confusion.
