Title: Killing players effect karma
Post by: yoni0505 on October 23, 2010, 09:20:12 pm
All of us must have got murdered several times while playing the game, and get angry that the murderer gets away flawlessly.

I was thinking about it and killing NPCs like guards will effect the players reputation, so they avoid it in any cost.
While killing players doesn't effect the reputation, murderers do it freely.

The only thing you can do is to mark someone "red".

Why won't killing players effect karma? It's could make the game much more fair.
Killing bad players will raise the karma while killing good players will lower it.

you actually get bad karma for killing players, if they are in good relations with some towns, like VC,. so if u kil allot of players that have high reputation in vault city, you will eventually be Wanted by that town and shot on sight if u try to enter .

that goes for NCR aswell .
thats all the info i have on that matter.

Karma does not equal reputation.

For suggestion, what do you mean by "make game more fair". Your suggestion says nothing of the consequences of having bad/good karma, and if it does have any positive affects, it could just be abuse-able.

1. It's abusable.
2. There is no all-seeing-eye over everyone.
3. Already suggested.
