Title: Spare guns/armor?

Man starting fresh in this game is tough! This game is hardcore!

Anyone with some hunting rifles or ammo or any small guns they don't need I'll gladly take off your hands for you.

Also willing to group up.. I'm in the NCR area.

Walk around for NCR Rangers/Caravan/Army encounters vs. anything else and loot what they don't loot.
You'll get enough to trade for weapons.
223 ammo is harder to get in NCR.
There are a few quests (http://www.fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Quests) which give you a gun.

A 10mm pistol and the 10mm jhp ammo can be crafted without any profession.

A 10mm pistol and 10mm jhp ammo are also the only things you'll need (if you are an SG user) to level from 1 to 21
