Very good job, indeed. I wonder, if the 1280x1024 version will be released as well. By the way, correct me please if I am wrong or if you have similar issue. The thing is, when you choose "ammo amount and deterioration display" as "lines and numbers" it is being displayed in "strange" place, that is the part of the chat window:

This interface is awesome!! Anyway I have changed it to more handy for PVP players:
- i added new diods
- changed the log box for smaller
- i added small buttons on the panel under the log box
- i have made new animation for combat
- i decreased size of the weapon object
It`s only made for 1024x768 resolution.

For make it works the ras`s interface must be installed and then the files from my folder must be overwritten to the art folder.

It's working well on any resolution for me. I personally, playing on 1490x960 and everything ok, except one thing which is very easy to fix.

the intervace is good cuz in increases the practicality wiht The Scope for aimed shots, it makes transparent HUD so you can see theifs and some buttons are bigger, like  hte folow button fore folowers

so is nice and practical, to bad with the groin and head shots unavaileble

i use groin on molerats, when i can't head

and head shots i like them to scream BOOM, HEADSHOT but to add +20 to the hit chance

Barter filters are not working.
Seems like there are missing "arrows" that swap between corpses when looting from the ground

nice, but why dont u add the missing buttons for F, P, S, C to the left bottom pannel where the EXIT and INV button is? and make the chat box resizable too? then this could be used for combat and simple playing aswell  ;)

You may have such problem if you're using 1024x768 version under lower screen resolution.

maybe you could help me with 2 more things that bug me a little.

1. when I open the character screen I see some wierd 'online' sign that covers part of the character sheet, I can move the sheet away from it but still, would be better off without it
2. how to move the weapon panel a bit to the right?

In the program for the graphics, you cut wepaon panel (interface1280.png) and paste it wherever you want.
Then edit this text file in faction.ini

on world map if you whant to go to a city from the sidebar with the discovered cityes, you must press the red button from tthe side, i sugest you shoud press the name, not the button(you can do this by redefining the button location)

I think that might not work good.
This interface works very well with these resolution: 1400x900, 1280x1024, 1024x768, 800x600
Maybe try fullscreen for other resolutions or use files from Doctor Eex

only my interface not working? other work?

Try this
1. delete the game and all the files
2. instal game and do update
3. Download this Interface and move to the game directory
Ras_Interface_1400x900_1280x1024_1024x768_800x600   v1.74
4. Run game trying different resolution

if still does not work, write which you use reslution

you guys rocks, is awesome the way you take the pant, and eliminate the other parts its cool

but the image of SMG10MM is a MP5 with silencer and the SMG is a H&K MP9, it doesnt exist in real life exept for the B&T MP9 but it dont fit with the image (is like a mini uzi)
so you should use a MP5KA4 without butt, it really fits with the original image

lol forget it youre using default images, i see a imagen diferent in the begin my fault

All wide monitors are 16:10 or 16:9

For example, exists:

Ok, as I told before, weapon slot is huge.
Even in seb910 version.
But very nice design. I really like barter and main menu screens. Also excellent replacement for map marker and preview screen.

@Eex:
i would love to have this interface with the smaller but colored APs u show here, but apparently it doesn t work properly in 1024x768. i also tried every possible combination of installing (or not) Ras' or your interface(s) and then updating with files shown throughout this topic, but i always get this:

Love this bomb timer and ap green circle (nice replace of ap from Max Love interface)

EDIT: Btw, after looking your whole interface how it looks like in game, I see, that "perks, karma, kills undertext" is too big - it seems, that text on down of character box is going out of monitor! (just look where is black part of this whole green part and where is text, this is not how monitors works ;P)

Have you solved your problem? My interface package does not require Ras' to work
And don't mix different versions. Always clean up before unraring another one.
And I have my thread, so it's kinda off-top here...  ;)

Where is the absolute newest version of this interface? I want to use it. But it doesnt work properly with the link posted in the first page of the topic!

Ras_Interface  v2   is the latest version

If you had previously installed other interface, remove all of its components     ...folder INTRFACE and FONTS probably.

Checked file in the link and everything ok.
Write the problem more precisely, If still will not work.

open folder with game then open DATA and delete folder FONTS and ART.
Next from Ras_Interface move folder DATA to folder with game

start game
    ...should work

It works, all except for some parts of the in town interface. Weapon is hanging out of box and the lines are all crossed up

I would gladly use your interface if it was falloutish. 1024x800 interface by Skej hasn't been updated for a LONG time, but I need an interface that has a style like the default one, has higher resolution and would be even better if it wasn't as clunky. I really apreciate your work, but... it's not fallout :/ Right now sticking with the default interface.

This what we do is alternative for those who are looking something new.
New interface what would have deafult style, would be a real gold. But need for this good graphics, to do it.

Unfortunately I'm not an artist at all :) and have very low skills with graphics editing, so minimalism and simplicity - that's all that I capable of.

For me Fallout is definitely NOT interface, but content itself. Music, sounds, inventory items, maps graphics itself, critters and TB and SPECIAL

Second is better indeed. Though, you can add something under action points panel for the first one and it would be good too. Still, I like it already, would be good for those who don't like new un-falloutish interfaces.

Something I used. But generally abandoned the project with replacement weapons.
When enters 3D everything will changes, so...  right now i think there is no sense :(

At the moment my main priority is new interface. Is much more work than in previous versions interf.
But I think that the whole should be satisfactory ;)

About caps, they are part of the whole Fallout world, but...  the graphics "CAPS" looks not so great and they could do better  :-X  ;)

Just needs 1024x*** worldmap and it's perfect! Love the transperancy stuff! It's falloutish and cool in the same time! EPIC!!!

I'm impressed by your technical realisation of the interface - it looks very consistent. I know the pain of making custom interfaces too good. ;D I don't like the style of it personally, but thats just a matter of taste. Good work!

Yes,is hard to do everything well. You need a lot of patience, tme... etc. Even than is not possible satisfy all ;)

I had versions of this like you say. But finally chose the one with the yellow-black lines. I think the previous background looked worse.

If you had previously installed a other interface you must delete his files.
Probably in your problem only files in folder ...\data\fonts.
Then move my interface to the directory of the game.

So what I am "requesting" here is a totally normal interface, but with extended windows for most of the itemlists (lootmenu, bartermenu, inventorymenu). If you would do this, I would greatly appreciate it!

1) If you have default Inter.

Download FastScope.rar and extract files to ...data\art\intrface
Rename the file "find and replace text in faction.ini" to "faction.ini"

2) If you have other Interf.

Download FastScope.rar and extract files.
Move the unzipped files *.png to ...data\art\intrface
Open a text document "find and replace text in faction.ini" and... find and replace text in your faction.ini  :P

Also would you know how to center the weapon holster to the middle? I use 1440x900, and it is always off-center towards the left. Blue arrow is too far right, but just for reference

Graphics file( interface1280.png) is the same for all resolutions. So in higher  resolution the panel with the weapon will move from the center.
I'll have to do a separate graphics for higher resolution. This is not a lot of work but needs a little free time... I'll try to do as soon as possible;)
be patient ;)

OK, I fixed it ...and a few small bugs. Link on the first page.

Replace this text in your faction.ini ...and move to you folder "intrface" all the files for graphics "Left menu" what you see in the folders interface CLEAR

Transparent Interface Mod doesn't have the kind of transparency I was talking about: the whole pic is transparent, while in Desert, only the "screen" part of the pic is transparent.

Also I had already used search, I had already posted in that thread and I had already got an answer :P

About interface move folder DATA from my interface do folder with game.
About AlternativCombat for PipBoy, move files from the folder of a package to folder in game ...data\art\intrface.

I got the Ras Interface CLEAR v2, and I noticed it crashed the game when I launched it, so I did some investigating and found out the problem seemed to have something to do with "SandNumbers.png" in the fonts folder.

Not sure if this is just me, but when I removed it from the folder, the interface ran fine. I run on 1440x900, if that helps.

Can't wait for the old one gets back! I miss having something space giving and clear, but simple to use as my interface, I don't like the clear one all that much because how much it's changed positions too much. I'm think I'll use the Desert interface till the classic is improved ;D.

Edit: I gave up and used the clear interface instead of even downloading the desert interface, I can't stand opening my inventory or shopping with a solid background. But its just soo wierd in world map and fighting in encounters... and the chat on the right side when expanded. And I got confused once when I thought I accidently put my helmet in my hands. The one thing I do really like though is the added options for groin and head shots added into the aimings ;D

Looks really nice and simple. But why different background for "torso slot"?

I would do it this way:
- Every slot would use the same background as in head/item 1/item 2.
- Add a simple figure of a helmet for headgear and simple figure of a body armor for torso slot. (Just like you have "1" and "2" for item slots).

But anyway, these graphics have a really professional look. And yes... head first, then armor. :)

Yeas, send me raport. I will see how it looks. Need to check at what moment the error occurs.
How many times crash appears? And does anyone have the same in default interface?

Default interface is ok, while using yours FOnline sometimes starts, sometimes it doesn't + a strange crash dump file is generated (I have more than 25 files in my FOnline directory now).

Yeah, the only one I had to delete was that "sandnumbers" or something file, after that it worked fine.

EDIT: Also Ras, can we assume you'll attempt re-creating the classic interface? From the looks of the poll, it seems I'm not the only one who'd like to see a cleaner and more user-friendly vanilla interface :)

Yeah, sorry didn't get back to you about it. The first solution didn't seem to change anything for me, but the second solution - deleting all the sand numbers files and installing that new one seemed to work.

As for interface suggestions, just making entire bars clickable (like the follow buttons) instead of those tiny red dots is good like you did for Desert Interface. And ofc the world map needs to be adjusted to handle larger resolutions, since whenever I goto world, it's just a tiny square in the upper left. Oh, but keep the headgear on top of the bodyarmor for the inventory, please! :)

Adding SandNumbers.fofnt didnt work
Deleting all SandNumbers files and adding SandNumbers.bmp didnt work either.

This is not so easy unless you know how to edit interface. First you need to create a new WM interface graphics for your resolution and then set positions for tables, buttons, etc

I also get crashes when i try to change the gui, the only way to make it work its using the openGL client but normal one instant crashes with both ras and pure evil :( . That's normal?

Weird thing its that it works if i delete the "fonts" folder :S

Edit: just deleting SandNumbers.png solves it, so it may be something wrong with that file, i have no problems iwth numbers.png tought :s

I also get crashes when i try to change the gui, the only way to make it work its using the openGL client but normal one instant crashes with both ras and pure evil :( . That's normal?

Weird thing its that it works if i delete the "fonts" folder :S

Edit: just deleting SandNumbers.png solves it, so it may be something wrong with that file, i have no problems iwth numbers.png tought :s
Font format has been changed, maybe that's problem. Or not even maybe, that's the problem :)

Oddly enough, I have it stable for like 2 weeks so far. I just hope it wont start crashing again.

It's possible. But first you need to prepare the appropriate zip file.
I think that my files have data folder inside, and zip file for FOnline can not be with this folder.
Zip himself is as date.

If this still gets updated I'd like to point out that when writing on a holodisk it's impossible to write the letter "L". In addition when writing it's impossible to scroll down, meaning that once the visible writing area is full you are writing blind.

But the HP displayed is still in the old style oddly enough.

Any idea how to fix this?

just delete content of interface folder and then reinstall it , that should work ... probably u was having some other interface before and now some files are in conflict ^^

Well actually, this is the first interface I've used.
The ZIP file contained the folder "data", which contained 2 folders: "art" and "fonts".

When I copied "art" and "fonts" to my fonline "data" folder, the game wouldn't start. But when I dragged the "fonts" folder into the "art" folder, it works. But then the HP is shown strangely (as posted above).

just delete content of both folders but not the folder itself , and then click on updater now u should receive the normal datas and then u can extract ur interface

can u make a screenshot of ur fonts folder ? then u must probably delete the fonts and art.dat from original font / art / interface source

Yes, I did. I took the interface files from the first post in this topic. Tried to delete cache, delete interface, update client, recopy interface.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the fact that I place "Fonts" into my "Art" folder. Because in the folder I downloaded, it's in the "Data" folder by default. But if I leave it like that, the game doesn't run.
