It looks really really good. Although he raises his shotgun a little more straight, he has that bend in his elbow in this pic. (which would also cause it to be higher)

Colorization you say? Alright here goes.
Sorry for the simple colors but its hard to color with such picture quality (no offence) :-\

Don't be sad, you'll get better I'm sure. Just keep at it ;)
I'll make you feel better by poking holes at my own coloring:
Left eye (character's right) has more shine than the right which is wrong, light direction is from back.
Scar isn't different color. Usually scars are darker.
Right side (characters left) of the jacket is shaded like shit. I hate shading leather, it's either black, blacker or white ;D
The piece of cloth behind the shotgun should be lighter, same color as the torn sleeve.
Shotguns shading doesn't match overall shading.
But i would liked it more if you had used the original background!
I got lazy ;D

I also added some grimy looks to the original. I doubt hygiene would be first priority in the wasteland

i think the red hair is too...shiny, it should be a bit darker.

It looks dyed so it makes sense its a bit shiny. I don't think many people have natural red hair that bright.
