ANOTHER QUESTION :
Now, how to make GEN\ items acceptable as roof?
For example the casino signs in new reno?
Tried using the layer function but it doesnt seem to make a difference.

You must change scenery type or put this in "tiles folder" and then try in mapper making roof by middle button of mouse.
The casino roof is scenery + WALL which is tiles, open map and how it look.

Thank you, Sir!

It's a shame tiles still can't be animated yet. :(

wasn't that gizmo sign tile animated i remeber it turning round and round
-
The Gizmo sign was a scenery type object it wasn't made from tiles like some other sceneries. Although I checked this mapper before but I think I got too accustomed to the bis mapper and trying to build things in this one is out of my league for now.

As Jostisz said, the casino sign is a scenery item that can be animated. Tiles however (like water on a shore) lack the ability to do that, even though this was not the case in Fallout 1 / 2
-
They weren't really animated there they used animated pallete color as I remember.

Yes there was no animation frames per se. Some colors in the Fallout palette were constantly
shifted and this allowed to make very simple animations where only colors were changed:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_cycling
But FOnline must support it to some extent, because you can see the fire in barrels for example
so I don't think the technique is the problem.
-
The barrel animation/palette swapping works because it is a scenery object, only the tiles still wont do the same. :/

Can a animated scenery object be made that looks as the part of the tiles, then? Like animated grass?
