We all know that killing mutated molerats yields the most exp and does it efficiently. What will end up happening to a lot of new players is that they will eventually get knocked down and gang raped by the molerats. What I started doing early game is killing stacks of 4 or more radscorpions with Molotov cocktails. After that you can move up to using frag nades on large groups of mutated mole rats and mole rats. It should take 2-3 to clear an entire crowd. I only suggest using frags later on because if you miss, you may hit yourself. Having stonewall and enough hp will ensure that missing frags wont fuck you up too hard. For mid level characters, using a 10mm pistol is probably the best way to go :D

For big gunners and energy builds. Exping with flamer on centaurs, floaters or aliens vs anything of them is also possible from low levels to level 21.
