Energy weapon have more damage and 1 point less in AP firing. But has a shorter range respect at small gun, 45 vs 50. The munitions are rare because they use a lot of uranium, 6 pieces.
And finally, tesla armor have a high energy and plama DR/DT
I like to do a sniper weapon energy, but I ask myself: Is it really worth raising a pg energy weapon?
In pvp, energy weapon is also good compared to small gun or completely useless?

EW is better for base damage since you get options like plasma later on, even the lowly laser pistol has a fast fire rate and way better range than any sg pistol short of endgame (and who seriously uses those?). Pretty much the major disadvantage is when you shoot it lets everyone know where you are, where sg you can stay hidden and hopefully crit someone to death before they realize where they are getting shot from.

yep, the damage output one can get out of a Plasma weapon is pretty sweet

Energy Weapons are good with build that got luck enough (6,8,10)
But mostly i hate that Energy weapons do just little damage to all high level armors.

well, plasma has a more or les even damage output even withpout the bypasses, the only thing that can cockblock your plasma weapons would be the tesla armour...

Just change laser rifle damage type to electric and everyone happy
Just joke.. but anyway there should be ranged weapon that uses electric damage type.

well, technically it would be pretty nice to implement an electrical weapon asides from the current elec. weapons that are ingame, but not available, maybe a flamer stylized weapon with electrical blasts instead of fire, energy might need an AoE weapon sooner or later (4 hex radius/range, but a 180 degree blast area)

... Seriously... We easily see you never eat 200 without bypass from lase rifle while wearing a BA. On metal like on BA, you can do pretty good damage regulary, sometimes incredible damage, sometimes low damage.

Well there's the pulse pistol and rifle.  Those are electric.  Of course, I know they aren't available in game, but they exist.
