Merchants and BB's
backora:
For example, look at Gunrunner's stock. About 70k of BB's :o. Why are merchants so eager to buy large amounts of BB's? My suggestion is that some merchants won't buy BB's any longer. I know that it will ruin so player's business but seriously a merchant who is selling snipers, miniguns and laser rifles souldn't buy all the BB's in the Wasteland. This ammo has no use (it has only one use "jut for lulz", but again 70k :o).
Now even with changed gathering cooldown it is extreamly easy to get large amount of junk.
Mr Feltzer:
Naw, Its Good For noobs making Some easy Cash, They wouldnt be getting that Much. BB's Sell for 1 Cap Each, So if they make a Few 100$ It keeps em satisfied, And dosent affect better Players.. Why is this Hurting you?

First, 1 BB costs 4 caps at merchant selling small guns. I know it won't destroy economy when some new player sell 200 BB's but again 70k :o. Why should we even use caps when we can buy anything for fistful of BB's.
Second, this merchants are spammed with BB's and they don't have any wort-to-buy item or caps. I don't mind if players sell junk, minerals, gunpowder, deteriorated weapons... These are also easy to get resources and someone mightl be willing to buy them from merchant (in decent amount). But nobody will buy BB's.
The economy must go on, and if nobody wants the goods why should merchants increase its amount.
Maybe reducing price from 4 to 1 will be enought because crafting BB's from junk won't be profitable.
Badger:
I think BBs are probably the most crafted item in the game. That says a lot about the crafting system, and I don't think the solution is to nerf BBs.
Crafting BBs works because it's fun. You wander around, getting into encounters, and scavenging what you find lying around. You craft it, and you can immediately then trade them in for reasonable gear. No messing around with professions or mines or anything. No tools required. There's not a huge amount of risk, and it's nicely integrated with combat - you're fighting and scavenging at the same time.

It's basically the scavenging system we have at its finest ;D.
