Bugzilla - bug and request tracking system

(1/1)

rfordinal:
My suggestion is to start own bugzilla project to track, vote and discuss all bugs and suggestions.
bugzilla project - http://www.bugzilla.org/
how it works for Firefox - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/
and for KDE - https://bugs.kde.org/
this is interesting output of most wanted features (by votes) https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_severity=wishlist&votes=21&order=bugs.votes

JamesBrown:
I can only support this suggestion. It would be much more constructive and effective to do it this way

Cpt.Rookie:
I personally support this, however the question is - are users capable of using it? We can see in bugs sub-forum, that a lot of guys aren't able to even read "rules" topic. I'm afraid that people will find this system too complicated (in fact, it is not - but explain it to them), so they will rather not log the bug because it will be too bothering for them.

rfordinal:
I think, yes, users are capable to use this (my personal experience with other users). Nothing more complicated like create new topic in forum. And, Bugizlla dialogs can be modified to be more simpler. Or use another system to tracking (Trac, Launchpad,...).

My suggestion is not about Bugzilla, but about to start using track system.

(and sorry for my english)

And off course, the track system (Bugzilla) is very good tool to post self-made quests (or graphics/maps/scripts) from SDK to review by developers

Alison:
I support this suggestion too
