Not true. You cannot get Wakisashi Blades through normal playing.

Simple: you can't. 

Sometimes there are events that give collectable items if you win them, but I wouldn't count on anything like that, especially since Izual isn't even a GM anymore (he is the one that made most of the events, and Jovanaka made some too, but she isn't one either now)
