Yupp. After logging in you ll still see the location. As long as nobody take the car i think :P

That isn't what he is talking about. He means if you are still on the world map, with the car.

not just big gangs can afford cars. anyone can, its just a matter of knowing how to save for it and how to use your car once you have it. all the people complaining about how hard a car is to maintain and prevent from being stolen don't even have one.

save the drama for your mama and stop making excuses for yourself, you don't have a car because you're too lazy to get one for yourself.

then obviously you're aware that it is not impossible, nor is it even challenging for a solo player to afford a car on his own, much less a small gang.

Its much easier to just steal ...  idk a Hummer at The Gas Station...  Honestly.  gathering all those caps is just too much a pain in the ass.

As I have said before, I figured the devs wanted us to invest in cars for the convenience.  Gambling my car is not my idea of convenience.  I for one only park my car at my tent or a secure base.

So really cars are worth it if you have a secure area to leave it in otherwise just keep OD cause I doubt the devs will want to make things "easier".

Wow Still not reading I see.  The problem isn't saving caps, or even getting the 3 weeks worth of savings to New Reno and back out again, without being killed in some encounter with either Noobish pkr's or a Rocket happy RoTMA.  It's what happens when you have the car.  You either have to babysit it every nanosecond and basically park it at your tent or base.  Because of the countless ways it can be taken.  [THAT] is what makes them not as useful as people think.

EXACTLY!!!  Would you blow 30K+ on a base if you knew that one mistake or one lucky break for an uber could have you lose that base and everything with it.  All that work 'gone'  I know for a fact that when bases were visible people blew these forums up with issues because of them being taken, raided, and the loss of everything inside.  This is about the fact that there were attempts made to make cars more useful for as many people as possible.  And we're not saying they failed, we're just saying that some things still need to be ironed out.  Lets see if we can actually post here with things that can help or are not helping with cars.

It has been explained why cars shouldn't be 100% safe, in fact I explained in reply to your post or one of your sidekick Keldorn, so read back and post again when you actually have something worth reading... ::)

Well Ned stating that something should be considered in the realm of making cars more safe for smaller groups is actually an idea.  And we have posted many things in this thread as ideas both against and for making cars more viable.  And my two previous posts before my last I outlined them.  I felt like it was said, and I still wanted to see more actual ideas on what we might do.  Do you have any [suggestions] or ideas that for or against?

I agree it should be possible to hide a car so nobody can find it, but for first 1-3 minutes when you park it, it should be discoverable... like I said, it can be said that is the time you are camuflaging the car... (at least you don't have to really manually do it)

If you want to leave straight away you can always ride with a few mercs which would guard your car...

Cars should have some disadvantages else of the cost and upkeep costs...
If you want safe travelling, use train, and I hope some NPC caravans which would be someday added to travel between all towns...

So that was mentioned in my outline of good ideas.  That would be an idea for helping cars be more viable.

Okay cool. Now I finally have a Fuel Cell Controller. I take the long journey to Junkyard with 3000 caps, just in case the price went up a little bit or something (used to be 1000).

It's over 10K for a Cockroach. As if finding the damn Fuel Cell Controller isn't hard enough... now we have to pay a totally inflated price for the car.

As a summary of what was said multiple other times. Yeah... I guess I'm whining, but I seriously think that the price is totally inflated and it will just continue to get more and more inflated, unless this bad mechanic is changed.

Input is not whining some people seem to forget that.  Now if you were saying something like "omg this f'in sucks my life is over because of blah blah..." 

Really seems like the lower end prices if not all prices on cars should be looked at.
