I see no point in this suggestion. Tier0 BG weapon is flamer. That's pretty enough.

Alternative suggestion:
Make a gun that shoots people! You take your merc/slave/friend, put him in the rocket launcher and shooot. In flight your slave puts out his knife and stabs your opponent in face at enormous speed.

I hardly thinkg it would be fair to most people if biggunners got a mid-range grinding weapon, if that happens all we'll see would be biggunners becaue with the grinding weapon it would suddenly become 3-4x cheaper to level a biggunner powerbuild...
