Mentioning Fallout 3 automatically turns into a fail post. ;) Not. even mentioning that it would be ridicolous having a rock launcher if one might aswell throw the rock at the enemy.

Just a big ugly world war I 14mm anti tank rifle. As plus it would also make a second gun use 14mm rounds.

Thats why I was suggesting a new aimable big gun. To widen the possibility for new Big gun builds, Captain obvious.
Right now, no sane mind with a bozar and a big guns powrrbuild would use the bozar. If thered be an option to creqte such a build ( as the bozar is with single shot LESS dangerous) there could be more then just fast shot big gunners.

 Well, i know that this will be very heretic, but why not leave current SG, BG, EW class system .. (i know 1000+ reasons why not) and replace it by "aim skill" and "burst skill". Players will then combinate weapons in one char.. Even Van Buren left current system and replace it by one Firearms skill.

 Because if you will introduce aiming weapons in BG skill, there will not be practicaly any system difference between SG and BG (even ammo they use are same).

 But seriously, i hope you will make flamer more competitive PvP weapon, when you introduce 3D models..

I think it is quite pointless to think about it in any other way than carefully considering the effects it would have on gameplay.

How this new build, BG sniper, would work? How should it work in a full team? How should it be different from SG sniper? Are 2 guns enough for a new class?

I suggest moving 14mm pistol to BG and adding a Winchester Model 70 sporting rifle with .458 Winchester Magnum chambering (suitable for large game hunt - centaurs :)). Of course there would be the bozar, which is moddeled after the M82...

As for the combat performance, I things weapons in this class should cost ridiculous amount of AP to fire eyeshot (10 ap), but also do massive damage, maybe be the only weapons which could instakill. The ammo should be highly armor piercing (-DR). Their range should be same as for the weapons for the SG sniper build, but since the weapons are so unbalanced now I dunno if this is worth talking about.

I agree with DonGizmo that we should not be afraid to change the fallout skill layout, if we consider what the changes would bring, especially for lvl 21 PvP gangs who are those who care about combat the most...

No new weapons will be added to the game Ned, thats why I was suggesting that. And, whats the manner? Is it that bad suggesting new builds/classes?
The BG sniper would have clear disadvantages. The Bozar is hard to get and you'll only have some tier 0-1 weapons. BUT! If you have that bozar thingy, your build is deadly, but risky to play.

Sorry Surf, but that is just dumb. A build, which would be only worth doing, if you by some crazy luck or something get bozar, so you spend the time hard lvling it with tier 0-1 weapons, to own the battlefield for a couple hours to be finally rolled over by a party 3x as big as yours...I already got an idea how to name the build - Titanic  ;)

It would be a curiosity build for people who have tried everything, but I think more bad things than good things comes out of it. No appreciable addition to gameplay...

To the weapons not being added to the game... that like, ever? Can I take that as official dev statement?

Didnt I say that? (ok, just checked it, indeed I missed it).

For this build the bozar needs to be more common. At the moment no one would use it ever, just to show off, but not as a real weapon, because it has changed from the bugged and unrealistic piece of shit like it was in FO2 to a good weapon.

Yes. As long as the actual weapons aren't fixed we won't see new weapons "soon".

All right, then we should be discussing all the weapons and classes because these things are so interconnected. Maybe I'll make a thread some time about my ideas about that...

Oh, and don't insult bozar, or it would aimed burst your...

And yes, before we are suggesting things like that, the other things need to be balanced. Like 1000 times been said before.

I recall devs were constantly replying to new weapon suggestions that they wont implement new weapons as long as existing ones havent been fully implemented or balanced, but as i've leveded/helped leveling plenty BG chars, i gotta say, some weapon similiar to improved flamer in power/crafting that uses bullets definately wouldnt hurt for gameplay. BG does need a gun that is bit larger range than imp. flamer, deals less damage and is alot cheaper than minigun/rockets/LSW...

This would fix everything mentioned in this thread.

The M60 is the most useless weapon in all weapon classes. Its crafting requirments are like for minigun, its damage is less than normal flamer, its ammo is more harder to get than .223 and has worse stats than it... what the hell? Even if they just fix the ammo, the M60 is still as hard as craft as minigun, and who the hell will choose M60 if you could get 2-3 LSWs by cleaning a caravan in 1 minute...
M60 must be something around imp. flamer level.

7.62mm has been increased for the next update. The M60 didn't need anything else doing to it, its just a little bit under the LSW (which has increased damage upon the update too).

Then all "higher" ammo will be restricted in where it can be made, so 7.62 won't be unique in that regard.

Well big guns are a bit of mess.

M60 should be superior to LSW because it's harder to get.
Bozar would be a nice weapon after Fast shot is changed to not affect big guns. Some of my team mates used Bozar in fights (with special chars for Bozar - sniper big gunners without fast shot) but as someone mentioned, it's too risky, because Bozar is very hard to get.

We don't need something mentioned by the OP as big gunner class would be too powerful. The fact that it's hard to play bg, especially on low lvl chars, makes that class a choice not for every player.
