Metal Armor MK II. Little he costs, he has the big resistance as well as it is easy to do him.

Well I'll pass the discussion about which one is the best since any leather armor makes all your arguments invalid. There is nothing bore badass than bastard in leather armor. Its awesomeness beats even (A)PA. Too bad they are not that effective in combat tho, otherwise we would rule the wasteland in leather  .

From this poll list of couse it's Robes.
You see 10 guys armed with cool guns in metal armor, yes, it's scary.
You see 10 guys armed with cool guns in CA/BA, it's even more scary.
You see 10 guys armed with cool guns and everyone in Robes, running around with minignus and rocketlaunchers, that's just insane, enemies will be confused when see an army of people in robes.

I like Combat Leather Jacket (much DR, with 2x tougness is almost like brotherhood armor) and Tesla Armor (plasma nades? are you kidding me?).

Lol, you must mean thong and cape right? I'd vote that for the best armor, assuming my character is jacked and tanned.
