Explorer perk?

You got any idea will this perk work with special encounters?
There is some talk in IRC, but maybe there is someone in forums who don't use IRC and know better..

Please help  ;)

No Perk affects the chance to find a Special Encounter.

The Explorer perk, I think, just make it so that if there is the chance that you are on the same world tile as another player that is in an encounter, it increases your chance to be able to optionally go into that encounter.

Does Explorer even work in the game, or is it like HtH Evade?  It seems worthless.
