How do you register????

I keep getting a message saying my username and password are either too long or too short.  What's up?

so choose another nick like Masterx etc...

I've tried a few, but I'll try a few more.

Yea... no matter what I try, the message reads, "a mistake in the name, probably too long or too short."  No one else has experienced this?
