You forgot Desert stalker. He can walk almost all across the map. :o

oh thats what i meant, not mantis

Well if its not true it is 99% true. I've ran away from plenty of Desert Stalkers with 9 AP - I've never killed one thats for sure. Remember they start 15 hexes away from you usually and you generally get the first turn. If your character has super low Agi and poor sequence then maybe it's not possible, but your first toon is unlikely to be that 'specialist'.

i created tent by help of some nice guy and i realized that my character is sh*t.
im already testing like 4'th build now
anyway:
wiki is opened all the time (mostly just for world map but i use it for other stuff)
before i start playing i read begginers guide, but seriously that was written by h.lvl guy and its a little harder to do than it rather it can be expected.
problem of vicious players that kills everyone around is still available (and thiefs start to be pain in the ass).
Im just saying...

Continuing with a bad build if it's not too bad, actually might teach you a thing or 2 about the game.
At least it did for me.
I decided to level my 3rd or 4th build to level 21, despite the fact it's not that good.
S.P.E.C.I.A.L. on that build isn't too good, neither are some of the perks I've chosen.
Nevertheless by leveling it to 21 I learned more about the game as I traveled more to do quests, met some nice people on the way, etc.
I learned a lot to make my 2nd build a lot better (still nothing compared to the real power builds).
Use the character planner to see what your build turns into.
It will save you a lot of playing time with bad builds.
As for NCR, as you're obviously are playing around it, NEVER enter the caravan encounters you see on the map.
They're traps by pk.
Expect thieves, bombers, pk, etc. in NCR, so always use preview first before entering NCR (goes for every town).
Consider using the entry/exit point at Vortis.
Use the Transparent interface mod or move screens away so you can always see your character and who's approaching it.
Tag people red so you notice them earlier.
Stay away from crowds.
Don't take anything you don't need into town.
You'll still be killed from time to time near NCR.
Accept your losses or hunt elsewhere.

It's easy to level an alt to level 21 alone.
I did it with 2 of them.
It can be done quite fast if you know which quests to take and where and what to hunt.
Main problem is the first time you do it, it's fun and exciting, after that it gets boring quickly.

My brother had Kamikaze trait and 7 PE, he still couldn't move first, he had 9 AP but he still died. I guess Desert stalker didn't use aimed shot, that may be it.
