Sidekicks, Once Again

MMO with enforced PvP. No punishment for being bad (except guarded towns), no reward for being good (being guarded sometimes by guards - wow). This is nonsense.
In most MMOs you can choose PvP servers or areas where to fight PvP, this being a side bonus for the gameplay while in Fonline this is the main (not only, there are quests if anyone bothers to do them) focus. You cant evade it while playing casually like crafting, boom in one second youre dead, waiting for respawn. No punishment for being bad (no karma system except volunatily namecolorizing, which doesnt punish a player for killing except when youre in a faction/alliance. And even then you have no reward for killing the bad, hes just red.
1CH or 3CH doesnt really matter, the idea is not to create some superhuman follower (hence low CH req), just a reward for being good and playing game differently as opposed to TC, unless you only see 1 way of playing fonline. TC was made for PvP players - good - arenas and such are made in most MMOS, what was done for RPs? Ok quests, but guess what, while doing them in unguarded towns like Reno you probably die a couple of times (generally speaking) This would be some solution to play fonline differently. Less griefing way

just check raynor's black market, how do you think he got the two briefcases? Alting? Nope, he killed two guys who wanted to do that quest, this way your quest items would be perfectly safe, which is as I noticed just now another pro.

those who want more out of the game than shooting other players shouldn't create 1ch characters cos 1ch chars dont deserve any luv. If u want love, just create high cha char n get happy.

i've read all the suggestions but lvl restriction penalty isnt enough penalty. the main question is not in lvl of ur sidekick but in number of guns you can get. For 1ch char 1gun is enough.

ur right, mercs still will be used in TC cos 5 bazookas own, BUT each such merk cost round 15k caps, cant lvlup n get respawned and if Jovanka's idea from the neghbour topick will pass(topick s called Different merc types having different CH requirements), this thing can be easilly balanced.

well i really believe that most online of Fonline are those who are tired of such dull n casual MMORPGs. (actually after a while there s nothing too complicated in Fonline too exept full drop which makes the biggest fun)
If u wanna be good try to be gentle in NCR n get into some anti-PK guild.

the entire point is the risk/reward system.
good: heroic risk / minimal to none reward
evil: moderate risk / moderate to overpowering reward
The guy who shoots first always wins while the peaceful man suffers.
(just made up that saying, but it's pretty much what FOnline is al about right now...)
my thought is that on top of your mercs, which any faction can afford you can have a walking buddy, not a bloody supersoldier, I can even give you the stats I've planned for the average one, just gotta find the paper, shit, it's in my office, out of town, I'll fetch it tomorrow...

I think thats already implemented and this is not another merc suggestion :/. Please read it through once again

Well this needs to be balanced but what are you saying 5 levels is nothing? 30-35 HP and +% weapon use skill? Well then sidekick option is not for you :P

mercs are killing machines for TC. Sidekick is not for TC. Its anti PvP way of playing.

Well casual is mainstream. Fonline will always be some MMO in the shade. No big mass of players. But all this doesnt mean that the game should lose elements of mainstream games that actually bring people to fonline and PvPing is just one of the way to play the game and not only. More players = bigger fun for your PvP players too. This is something Fonline is really lacking - alternative to PvP - you can craft, but everyone needs to do that, you can do quests, but like above youll get raped sooner or later and your murderer wont suffer a bit. You just grief if you want to play Fonline differently. Different is not bad. Its a choice that everyone should have how to play and you could have similar bonus for that kind of playing as well.
