And fixboy tell you what is the damage, range or which NPC dropped it?

Totally useless... Weapon stats etc. are displayed in your inventory, the info about "which mob dropped it" is useless too.
And quest tracers, friend lists etc?  ::) It's fine as it is, only could need some minor corrections.

most people has common knowledge about Fallout weapons... info about who dropped the item is totally useless...

Well thinking that way maybe fixboy shouldnt show the materials for weapons/armors/ammo :p Since "its a common knowledge". Not everybody knows dozens of facts and would like to check them not browsing in the wiki, but in the game - fixboy

Sometimes you lose stuff too and would like to decide what to craft to go hunting again. I mean PipBoy would remember the weapons you have already used, not all ones. Just like the worldmap it would autoupdate, grow with your character growth. Ok origins of gun, armor, maybe is not important, there could be other stuff as well :p

kraskish, I dont know if you are an american, but your suggestion is totally american way to ruin a game... its all the "we want everything s-i-m-p-l-e and e-a-s-y... we want informations about everything and everywhere..." (sorry to all americans for this awful stereotypization, I cant help myself)

No I am not. Im just sometimes tired alttabbing comparing 2 weapons, their stats etc. It wouldnt ruin the game... what in worst case you wouldnt click in yo fixboy and I dont mean that this all info should be in fixboy, it could why not. It could be somewhere else in the PipBoy, just like info about quests that is not as important as in original fallouts

LOL calling fonline a fallout 2 is blasphemy. Graphics and UI doesnt make it F2. Engine is rewritten anew making it no Fallout 2 at all. We could have F3 interface and Id call it F3 :/ 3d era incoming soon...Its nor F2 nor F3. Your argument is invalid.

Haha I like this idea!

How about some scanning device build in Pip-Boy, displaying organic forms on mini-map. Refresh time based on Science value or cooldowns?

we are bit carried away, pip boy suppose be lil' personal computer, at least there should be notepad ;D, well it would be good to see in it some sort of broadcast/news system created by players, or it could be a forum system, it would be good to see stuff like forum ingame ;]

I think that to integrate what both the forum and wiki do directly into the game is a great idea.

of course to get the game to 'standalone' in a practical way will take time but eventually it would be nice to see that happen.

somethings mentioned in this thread have been a little over the top, some will probably take time to implement but to start by simply
making the pipboy a bit more interactive would be a nice.
