Right.
Only way is to drop your items in some hidden place, log off and log back in with your other character after 10 minutes.
Hope your items are still where you left them.
If 1 of your alts is a member or friend of a faction, you can ask for your other alt to be a member or friend too.
Than you can drop items in the faction base and pick them up from there.

or you could get someone you really trust the pass to one of your accs and have him accompany you to make a tent, that way you can have a shared tent between two of your characters.
