Hi, Just a thought, but why not make the cooldown periods correspond to game time, not real time. I noticed that 1 minute of game time = approximately 2 seconds of real time. I mean we are playing in the game world, so why not make time - ie cooldowns - pass in game time. So, in real time getting something like ore or minerals that have a 5 minute cooldown would reall only take 10 seconds.
Or you could make the cooldowns a little longer, I mean mining takes alot longer than 5 minutes in the real world. So you could set it to some multiple of game time so that 5 minutes takes let's say 1 minute of real time. It would make the game a little more friendly to those that get bored easily.
As I said, it's just a thought, but it's something that I hope you'll at least take a look at.
Thanks for your time, it is a great game ( when the servers stay running) even though I've never made it past lvl 2 without getting killed at least once. But that's just the wasteland - frigging dangerous

EDIT: sorry, I guess this should have been put under the title of Suggestions.
