I am very sceptical if you are talking about NPC driven factions.. We have raiders, nobody plays it. We had NCR army, moderated by GM, nobody plays it now... Only solution is to connect "NPC faction" to player controled factions (like guilds).

I.e.:. Vsb is anti-pk faction, so we will join this faction, if there would be benefit for us from this, and pk factions (rogues, red dots,..) would have their own guild...

izual meant enclave, BOS, vault city, and the current factions, nobody uses them because of the simple fact that tehre is nothing to do there except for gaining proffesion levels and getting acess to specialised crafting equipment.

i understand.. but i dont see any progress in this, if there will not exist one new quest in cca 10 days.. rather than this, connect this factions with player factions

Yes, I meant those. Lordus, NCR Army is a roleplay project and has nothing to do with NCR faction or anything. Gordulan is right, for now nobody joins Vault City, Enclave, Raiders etc. except for getting crafting professions. I am convinced that it will change in the future, and one of the possibilities to make NPC-driven factions attractive is simply to set up this kind of area control. I remember Pozzo saying that player-driven factions have already too much power in the Fallout world, and I tend ot agree with him. You can control one town, why would your gang control Vault City's area too ? This kind of area control is perfect for NPC factions global scenario, in my opinion.

Hololasima you did not answer my second question : What is the difference between the system we have now, and the "area control" system ? How do you "control" one area ?

It's epic, but shouldn't it be sort of controlled on the spot so that the new maps like gas stations etc. could be used a bit more for PvP? Also, if such areas didn't have any militia (which makes sense) and didn't provide any items/caps (maybe low tier ones, like nuka cola for example) but some slight bonuses like increased travel speed it could be an alternative for gangs that aren't top tier/do not want to be in a big alliance. All in all can't say a bad word about this.
