How to give booze to April?

There is a woman in Vault City who asks you if you can get her some booze from the nearby store as she has no money. I went to both the store and the bar and bought some booze however she would not take it. I even drunk the booze and sold out both people of their booze and still she won't accept it. Can anyone help me with this?

It is broken quest but devs are ignoring it for some reason, been mentioned many times before.

Actually, I completed this on my first playthrough. You have to buy a shot from McRae in the nearby bar with caps, but not through barter!
