this is prob a noob question but would finese work good with a BGunner build for crits?

No . BG bazooka ( or lsw , M60 ) good is only 6 luck + more criticall but not finesse it will ruin your damage ( -20 %)

and problem with bg crit build is the only aimable weapon isn't in game.
