... go to wastes with my gun and ammo to kill something? i ask it, because im afaird that i die and lose all my ammo and gun.

if you are fighting char, then it is only way for you to gain exp... so earlier or later, you have to go in wastes on your own or with friends to hunt... and every time there is a risk that you will be killed...
dont take too much ammo, so you dont lose everything if someone kill you...
