Today, I was leaving NCR with some crafted guns to hide them in my tent. But before steping on exit grid, some bustard joined to me (like in the group). Unlucky for me, I didnt noticed it and entered a tent location with him. He immediately runs into tent for stuff. I run for him, but he burst me with assault rifle and killed me (im only at lvl3, dont have even good weapon or armor). I was so pissed off, that i pressed Alt+F4 immediately. After few seconds:) I calmed down and started fonline again. I was very surprised, when I appear alive in my tent, with no missing stuff on me, even in crate, and that guy was gone. Can anybody explain i to me? I thought that all my hard-earned stuff are gone.

Luckily for you, there was probably a short server downtime at that time, and the backup restored situation before the theft.

  Allways check the left of your screen if you skip from town to worldmap.  If there is another name listed under yours, then do not go to your tent/whatever hideout.

yes, my experience too...when you see another name in left list go back to town and try in a minute again or
when you see that follower is there...say him..." FOCK OF M*oth*r Fock*r" It helps me and they leave my party in few seconds, so I havent to click back to town to loose him, than I have clear path to my tent ...

You don't have to go back in town, when you are on the worldmap you can "ungroup", and all the people with you will be alone.

Anyway..you are so lucky... hit the right time when server gone down and after that server loads backup only few seconds before you die...but
when you "alive" after server down in ten...so the foloower will...I think...

Stay clicked on your name in the left panel, when you are on the worldmap, and choose the ungroup option (the picture with an arrow and 3 people).

EDIT : In fact, you can do two things when you lead a group. Doing that (upper) will let all the group alone, but you can also do it on another player, and then only him will be left.
