do flares have a real purpose? if they do, dont get me wrong, but i think they shuold be able to make a distress signal, like a caravan for a short period of time so that people may come save you, or kill you

as for molotivs, they are very useless, maybe a burn effect like poison does on you should happen?

This would make flares actually useful, and molotovs would be an actual weapon than radscropion firecracker.

You can throw flare into toiled and ignite gasses in order to create massive explosion. True story.

Snipers at night can drop them near exit grids/etc. to get a better shot.

But unless they fixed the bug from original games, you actually drop it on your own hex to get the bonus (because it checks light level of where you are, not where you are aiming. I'll bet Ghost re-uses the checking code.)

There is no night/day changes on aiming, its not in game.
