Doctor profession and drug addiction

Are players who took doctor profession able to cure drug addicted players?

Hez:
Nope. You have to wait it out - as far as I know it's 24 real-life hours of character in-game since the last time when the char took drugs.

Leave computer on with char idling somewhere, it will soon pass, whatever it is :P

I was thinking about suggestion that players with Doctor professions could be able to cure addicted players.

Badger:
I don't know how we make addiction manageable or worth continuing with. I love the thought of a wasteland packed with junkies. But I don't know how you make addiction worth putting up with - maybe they have their drugs last longer.

no i dont know about that i have had a mentat addiction last me much longer than that.Perhaps that could be an effect of the characters stats? I also don't know
