I have searched through the forum and have not found an issue exactly like this but I am very new and could have missed it. I installed the game on my home pc and was able to update it with no issues and can still log into the game with it. I am now trying to install the game on another pc and for some reason cannot seem to update the game. I open the updater and it just sits with the message "Connecting to the update server..." and will not proceed any further. On the first pc I just updated the server IP and left the port on 2238 and was able to update the game. On the second I have updated the IP and tried both port 4040 and 2238 and still have the same issue. The status of the server says it is up...Is there anyway to check its ability to provide updates?

Hey all!
I believe the server is down now and has been so for several hours.
Is this some scheduled maintenance procedure or just a crash?
Anyone aware of the time the server should be back on-line?

99% of the time it's always the same - crashed and nobody with access to server around to restart it.
Next time you can just assume this. It's up now.

Well, it's down again.
It seems my Luck here is below zero as I could hardly play once between the server crashes. <g>
I don't think I am the only one to be annoyed by the crashes though...and even more so - by the downtime.
How much does it cost to implement an auto or remote restart feature on the server?

how about we put a dog carrier crate in the server room with Jovanka in it just far away enough that she could nakedly press the restart button when needed?  (not sure why she needs to be naked, but if your in a dog cage, shouldn't you really be naked?)

gah!!!!  server goes down, and when i can finally log in, i apparently died and all my stuff is gone!!!   wasnt much but it was all i had!!!  arrrrrrgh!!!!       >:(
