rocks turn to sth else when picked

Hello is this a feature? when you pick a flint it changes from a black ball to a box :) I wanted to make my own garden to make a border with those flints :S

Yeah it changes. You can use rocks (different from flint - found on Ghoul Scavenger encounters mostly) or even ore to do it though.
And if you get unrefined (or refined but you would probably use that) uranium ore you can make a gold pattern.

You can use gold, too, for the gold pattern.  It's worth less than the uranium.
