Furniture Store

(1/3) > >>

Grampy:
There should be a furniture store that sells items for base/tent usage. I suggest two categories of items; Utility and Decorative.

Utility Items:
Containers such as Lockers, crates, chests, pots, ect, ect.
Workbench
Meat Table (Would kill random brahmin in the same map)
Still
Potted Plants (fruit and Fiber, These would only regrow a limited ammount of times)

Decorative Items:
Various Rocks
"Preserved Corpses on a stick"- Like the ghost farm in Modoc, or guy hanging from a Lamp Post in Boneyard, some factions would want to send a message like that.
Metal Barrels
Assorted Junk

Gunduz:
As much as we all want things like this, it isn't possible right now. I believe the way FOnline runs is it loads premade maps. In order to change any of the static objects on the map, the whole map must be reloaded, meaning anything on the ground disappears and maybe other such problems. Hopefully there will be a solution in the future, but AFAIK, we can't do it right now.

What a pitty because it sounds like a hell of a idea.

Any comments from Devs about this?

John.Metzger:
i just love suggestions like this. make the wasteland a living place ey. *repeat old phrases*
but.
logic kill the most treads. (and that is a good suggestion again)

Grampy:
If you drop your furniture out in the wasteland, yah it will be missing, but not in a base or tent. People in my faction already decorate the base by dropping items on the ground. It started off with rocks, for having rock wars while bored (Some people kill noobies for Lolz, I throw rocks at your Groin, I maintain that what I do is funnier). Then sombody started a flower garden. Sometimes they'll spell out phrases by dropping stuff, or make paths. The only thing that's really stayed is a Fire Gecko skin, because it locks hella cool when on the ground.

These items aren't static or drawn on the map itself, they're just sprites. You may recall an error Message you get sometimes when clicking on a bookshelf in the original fallout. "You can't Pick that item up", "It weighs too Much" or something to that effect. Its because bookshelves are just items that weigh alot.
