You need to test the game as players will discover it, and they will discover it with their own items, not spawned one. Also, in order to find bugs, you need to experiment everything - would you still craft if you were rich ?

As someone said before (probably on polish board, but I am not sure about that) the exact beta should look like:
A group of players (no more than 100 players, no more than 3, maybe 4 gangs) should play FO with all weapons/armors/items, fight between themselves, trade with NPCs, talk with important NPCs, travel around the world, suggest new things from which every of them should be tested and maybe if they would be honest enough - report bugs. The role of GMs would be reporting unreported bugs and banning players who are exploiting them.
Actual situation has almost nothing to beta - almost every player who discover an important bug would exploit it as long as he can, then there would be WIPE if many people would exploit same thing (because there is too few GMs or they are not working properly). PvP looks like a masacre and nothing is going to be more balanced (maybe you're trying Devs, but that makes nothing - there still was, are and will be a lot of unbalance in weapons/armors). Players suggestions are not readed exactly, or not tried (because in Devs opinion they will suck) etc.
I'll say once again: THAT IS NOT BETA - that is a massacre between Player Killers and Players (maybe there should be also a place for powergamers but I am not sure if there are any of them atm.).

You are right, but this is OPEN BETA, not closed beta. Open betas are never with all guns, ammo and stuff, they are like normal games, just with bugs and incompleted stuff.
