I'm trying to figure out a way to make the hud animated, it would be cool to see the message screen flicker.

You can set gif animations for the hud, instead of the png. Another way is to try our *.fofrm format. Check out car *.fofrm files from Humvee, etc. for examples. Not sure if it works, but in theory it should and the quality is better than gif.

Well, there are animated PNG's, I just have to figure out how to do that.

Why so complex, if it's easier to use fofrm format?

Ok, last off-topic post in here. For further question, make a new thread.

Open the client *.dat files with DatExplorer and extract their content into some random directory (maybe client/data/). Now you have all files in there and most probably some *.fofrm's too (if you extracted a lucky *.dat file. If not, try another *.dat file). The *.fofrm files can be opened with every simple text editor. Now check out the *.fofrm files from caravan cars or so and you will see how it works. It's very obvious and simple.
