What can you do with 'Empty bottle'?

What can you do with this one? I've tried using it on a waterpump but it didn't do anything..

In one of the shelves in Waterworks..

You can fill it with a potion, capture a fairy or fill it with water.

Retrogator:
Sell it to the dude buying rare/unique items in the trade section.
