Southern Cross and Mosepeda used to be completely different series too; I remember one of the Macek interviews where he talked about the massive rewrite and introducing Protoculture (much like the Spice from Dune) as the substance to tie everything together.
Ya, I've deen excepts from that interview, though mostly from people who hated the merger..... Me I don't care, and anyways its done now......
