New Invertory/Barter handling

So i was sitting in Fortress, with my 100 barter points and 100 seconds busting my ass to find a decent 223. pistol/XL rifle/ SOME CAPS!
and my faction lockers have a whole bunch of junk i just HAVE to scroll through every time?
my suggestion is to take an example from Fallout Tactics and have a selection by Type of item you want to view in barter/inventory, it will justify the bartering timeout for low level characters with low skill AND make it possible to efficiently trade items in shops
something in the lines of single letter buttons  like W - for weapons M - for materials, A for armors and etc :O! i think we could go even more specific and specify each and every item group under its own category for easier managing :D
Or, simply overhauling the bartering screen to be bigger, coz you know most of us plays on high reso ^^

Bah thieves are annoying for other reasons than inventory management.
